The Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival in Downtown Douglasville, GA, June 2008

Jenny represented The Artful Quiller at the Hydrangea ball Friday night before the festival.

At Saturday's festival, we had a 10x10 booth on the front lawn of the Old Courthouse Museum and there were lots of friendly people who stopped by during the day to say hello.  Here is a picture of Jenny working on some embellished candles.

Mainstreet Market in Downtown Douglasville, GA, April 2008

Our first ever "official" festival, we set up a booth for the morning and early afternoon.  Unfortunately, the weather kept a lot of people away, but we had a good time meeting those who did make it out to the festival.

The Foundry at Puritan Mill • 916 Lowery Boulevard

Each year, the Metro Atlanta Furniture Bank invites local artists to create works of art from furniture to be auctioned at a gala event to raise funds for the Furniture Bank.  This year, The Artful Quiller was proud to display a chair entitled "Tea in the Garden"

The Battle of Atlanta at Nash Farm Battlefield, Henry County, GA, November 2007

Our presentation at the ladies tea was a great success!  Everyone was very friendly and we had a wonderful time.  Thanks to Terri Zeckman for having us and promoting our art!  We are looking forward to next year. Here are pictures of the demonstration:

Mrs. Terri Zeckman introduces us and reads Jenny's bio from a brochure.  There were about 50-100 ladies who attended the tea.

Jenny begins the demonstration with a brief explaination on the history of quilling.  Unfortunately, when the photo was snapped, she was blinking!  Better photo next time, Jenny!

Jenny explains the strips of paper and how they are used, diferent widths, textures, etc.

A close up as Jenny explains the slotted tool and it's function.
